MetaPad

Metapad is a small, fast, 32-bit Notepad replacement. It includes all of Notepad's features and much, much more - without sacrificing any of Notepad's speed! Plenty of features for casual use and simple programming tasks alike. These include unlimited file size, drag and drop editing, auto-indent, support for Mac/Unix text files, enhanced find and replace, external viewers and more than 50 keyboard shortcuts. Metapad also features hyperlink support, favorites menu, stay on top window mode, custom font and background colors, a rich set of formatting commands and more. Additionally, you can set 10 quick buffers to paste frequently-used snippets of text. Recent additions include transparent mode and native Windows XP theme support. For spellchecking, one of Metapad's viewers can be configured for use with the freeware Aspell (http:/aspell.sourceforge.net/).
